Kirby spent a day at PARC Xerox in June, ostensibly for "Take Your Dog to Work Day," but actually to interview for the top job at the facility.

"We told everyone that I was just going to keep Dan company," explained the lithe Welsh Corgi. "But actually I spent the day in high level talks with management."

Kirby said he was not sure whether he would work at the company. "I was impressed with its potential, but unsure of whether it's the place for me," he said. "I am being wooed by many top companies, and am concerned that I find a corporate culture that fits me."
